Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

LNG Houston; RVN modular skid consulting, liquefaction process design, FEL 2 engineering & Houston energy corridor consulting

Process Overview

Crude natural gas from the wells are first treated for dust and water removal.  The gas is then treated for mercury removal and acid gas (CO2/H2S) removal using an amine absorber.  Any remaining moisture is then removed in the dehydration step to avoid any freezing in the refrigeration section.  The heavier hydrocarbons (NGL) are then removed in a fractionation step featuring a number of distillation columns.  The natural gas (methane) is then liquefied using a cryogenic refrigeration process.  Any nitrogen impurity in the natural gas is removed in the Nitrogen Rejection Unit (NRU) before storing the LNG.

RVN Advantage

RVN Technical Team has the expertise and experience to select the best available technology for the LNG process.  We work with all licensors to evaluate which technology offering suits the client’s objectives best and works well within the project constraints.  We also put together engineering designs for all process steps including the balance of plant equipment such as utilities, tank farm, unloading and loading.  RVN can lead/support project execution from the conceptual design stage all the way to the detailed engineering stage.  RVN works with partners that can provide procurement, construction and startup services.  In short, RVN can help turn conceptual ideas into fully operational projects making commercially successful products in a safe and environmentally friendly process.
